Peanut Butter Cookies (flour-less)

This is a recipe I adapted when looking for a quick cookie recipe to make. We have found that this recipe works best when your underware is on backwards, because "sometimes it feels better that way". During this project we also found out that daddy does not love cookie dough like AC and I do....

Recipe

1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup white sugar (more or less depending on altitude, humidity, your mood)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups peanut butter
1/4 cup white sugar for dipping

mix ingredients with hand mixer, then scoop into balls and roll the ball in sugar, place on the cookie sheet and press with a fork, once, twice, three times, when you mom takes the fork from you, you are done....

Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes, cool and enjoy....now, AC really wanted to eat his cookies on the porch, well, it's 50 out there and pitch black dark, I asked him how we could make it warm outside and he said, "If we just clean the house a little bit, it will be warm enough outside" We might try that...or we might wear coats

Playdough Day

LinkA helper is only as good as his step stool. This is what he calls his "Help".

We woke up to a cloudy day, then it became our first snow day of the season. So, we made home made play dough. I found the recipe online, after I had heard about it at one of the preschools I frequent for work....here you go, JELLO playdough made with a 3 year old.

Recipe
1 3-oz package any flavor JELLO mix (of course he picked green)
1-cup Warm Water
1-cup White Flour
1/2 cup salt
2 T. Cream of Tartar
2 T. Veg. Oil

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan over med-high heat until it becomes a solid lump. Don't stop stirring or you will burn it. Now focus....

"Can I taste it now?....how about now?....why?.....why?"

here is what it will look like to start....

here is what you will finish with....

"I never seen playdough like this in my WHOLE WIDE WORLD!"

And it smells good, too! Happy Fall Snow Day!
